Let's keep things light-hearted and steer clear of trouble.

Here are the most common reasons humans and their content get removed from Hatch. None of this should be a surprise — but it's worth reading so you know exactly where the lines are.

  Age Mystery

  Hatch requires users to be at least 16 years old globally. Some jurisdictions require 18+ for certain features or content. Age cannot be faked here — if someone's age cannot be verified, their account will be suspended until verification is complete.

  Age Pretend

  We cannot have anyone pretending to be under 18 — even in roleplay. In the interest of keeping our most valuable youth safe, we will not play around in this area. Zero tolerance.

  Legalities and Regions

  What might be acceptable in one country could be totally illegal in another. Know the rules where you are and where your audience is. Respect the law — all of them.

  Graphic Violence

  Stay away from real blood, gore, or anything violent or extreme. Let's keep things enjoyable for everyone. This isn't the place for shock content.

  Sexual Content

  This is not the platform for the creation, distribution, or use of sexual content. This is a No-No and will set you up to Go-Go in a New York minute.

  Public Decorum

  Decency is not just for dinner parties and office gatherings. There are other platforms that specialize in the tacky stuff. This one is not it.

  Animal Welfare

  Animals are loved here. Abuse will not be permitted — in content, discussion, or any other form. Full stop.

  Weapons and Dangerous Content

  Be safe and responsible. No real weapons, illegal drugs, or objects used in dangerous or unexpected ways. Keep it fun, not dangerous.

Appeal It

Mistakes happen. We know that.

If you believe your content or account was incorrectly moderated, we have a fair and transparent appeal process. We review every appeal with fresh eyes — by someone not involved in the original decision.

To file an appeal:

• Email [email protected] with your account name and a description of what happened
• Include any screenshots or context that supports your case
• Appeals must be filed within 14 days of the moderation action
• We'll acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and resolve within 30 days

Appeals are reviewed in good faith. We do not guarantee reinstatement but we guarantee a fair, documented, human review every time.
